A little order. A lot of personality.
Bills, everyday spending, and what’s left. Meet the digital money notebook that feels like you.
One balance. The full picture.
Real life. Meet your notebook.
Start with what you have. Note what comes in, track what goes out, and give next month a little less guesswork.
Enter one overall balance. Add your bills when you’re ready. Your first page belongs to you.
Monthly bills repeat until canceled. One-time costs, income, and expenses fit right alongside them.
Paid, partial, or still to do. Keep actual money separate from upcoming bills, with a clear trail behind every change.
Outside loud. Inside organized.
Your notebook stays with you.
The web edition is being built around local storage. No account to create. No financial database on a server.
Read the privacy approach ↗Each device and browser has its own notebook. Your financial entries won’t automatically travel between them.
Download a full backup outside the browser. Clearing browser data, device loss, or storage cleanup can erase local records.
The planned web backup format lets you transfer a notebook manually. CSV is for reading your records, not restoring them.
Coming to your everyday screens.
One website, with an installable notebook planned for your phone, tablet, and compatible desktop browser.
Website design preview. Installation and offline functionality will follow after design approval. Devices do not sync automatically.
A few good questions.
No. The web notebook will work without registration, bank access, or a remote financial database.
No. Every device and browser keeps a separate notebook. A manual backup and restore workflow is planned. Existing Windows SQLite backups are not yet interchangeable with the proposed web JSON format.
Your local notebook may be deleted. Keep regular full backups outside the browser. Automatic browser storage is not a substitute for a downloaded backup.
This checkpoint is a read-only visual preview. You can explore the layout today; financial entry, installation, offline use, and restore will be implemented after design approval.
Take a look at the web design. Make yourself at home.
Page one starts with you.

CSV is not a full backup.INSTALL / PLATFORM GUIDE
Phone, tablet, or desktop. Find the installation route for your device.
In the completed release, open the notebook online first, finish setup, and confirm that the app reports it is ready offline. Keep a downloaded backup before changing devices or browsers. A home-screen icon does not guarantee permanent data storage.
If the app offers an Install button, it will appear only when the browser supports that prompt.
Google’s Android web app instructions ↗Use the installed icon consistently. Don’t assume a browser tab and an installed web app share one notebook; keep backups when changing how you open the app.
Apple’s iPhone web app instructions ↗Open the notebook, then use the address-bar install icon if available. Or open the menu, choose Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app.
Open the browser menu, choose More tools → Apps, then Install this site as an app when offered.
On supported macOS versions, open the notebook and choose File → Add to Dock, or use Share → Add to Dock.
If installation is unavailable, the completed app is intended to remain usable in a compatible browser tab. Platform support still requires testing.
Google’s desktop instructions ↗Your approved Windows v1.0.1 application is preserved separately. Keep using your existing app and its backup workflow.
A public Windows download URL has not been configured for this website preview. Use the approved installer already delivered with the desktop release.
The completed notebook will be designed to work offline after an initial successful online load. This checkpoint has no service worker and is not an offline release.
Clearing site data, uninstalling, browser cleanup, or device loss can erase a notebook. Download full backups regularly. Browser storage permission may reduce eviction risk; it cannot promise permanent storage.
QUICK START / GUIDE PREVIEW
A short walkthrough of the notebook you’ll make your own.
Open the installed notebook and enter your overall starting balance. Name your notebook if you like. The starting balance is a baseline, not income.
Add monthly bills during setup or skip them and add them later. A new notebook contains no sample transactions.
Choose a one-time bill or a monthly bill. Enter its name, amount, due date, and category. Monthly bills keep appearing until their series is canceled.
For a due day of 29, 30, or 31, short months use their last valid day.
Log income when it arrives and an expense when money goes out. For a bill, record the payment on the bill itself, with the actual amount and date. Do not log it again as an expense.
A partial payment leaves a remaining amount. A final payment can close the bill even if the amount differs from your estimate.
Use the planned Export your notebook area to download a full .bilznote.json backup outside the browser. Use CSV for readable records; it does not replace a full backup.
Clearing browser data, uninstalling, browser eviction, or losing your device can remove local records. The app has no server copy to recover.
USER GUIDE / DRAFT CONTENT
Understand your balance, keep bills on track, and protect the history you build.
BilzNote is a personal money notebook with one overall balance. You enter your own records; it does not connect to a bank. Each device and browser keeps a separate notebook.
This is the initial web guide structure. It reflects the approved Windows behavior and expansion specification. Controls, verified screenshots, and the complete downloadable PDF will be finalized with the functioning PWA.
Start with the overall balance you want to track, as of setup day. The opening amount establishes your baseline and is not counted as income. Do not add older activity that is already included in that balance.
Optional monthly bills can be added during setup. You can add bills and categories later. Your notebook begins with your own information, with no sample records.
| Number | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Current | The opening balance plus income and signed adjustments, minus actual expenses and bill payments. Voided records do not affect it. |
| Running | Your balance after each active ledger entry, in chronological order. |
| Projected | Your current balance minus remaining overdue bills and bills due within the next 30 days. No future income is assumed. |
Scheduled bills affect the projection, not today’s actual balance. A balance correction creates a signed adjustment with a reason. It preserves the opening record and is separate from income and spending.
Record the actual date, amount, description, and category when money moves. Actual activity cannot be dated after today or before the opening balance date. Future commitments belong in Bills.
Use a logged correction when your overall balance needs to change. Editing or voiding an entry must leave a change history; voided entries are excluded from totals and can be restored.
A one-time bill has a specific due date. A monthly template creates one occurrence for each applicable month until canceled. Revisiting a month must not create duplicates. Days 29–31 clamp to the last valid day in shorter months.
Editing a single occurrence changes that bill. Editing a series changes eligible future unpaid occurrences while preserving past and payment history. Canceling the series stops future occurrences from the chosen effective date; it does not erase payments.
Record a payment from its bill. The linked ledger entry is the expense; do not also add it as a separate expense. Use the actual amount and payment date.
A partial payment reduces what remains. Mark a payment as final when it settles the bill, including when the actual total differs from the scheduled estimate. Overpayments remain real money movements. Canceling a bill removes its remaining projected commitment while retaining previous payments.
The planned web notebook will preserve the ledger, calendar, search, filters, category tools, and audit history. Money and dates use plain backgrounds and readable labels. Status is shown with words and symbols as well as color.
Use the history to understand a correction or voided entry before changing your balance. A logged balance correction should not become a second entry for a payment you already recorded.
The planned full web backup is a versioned .bilznote.json file containing settings, categories, entries, recurring templates, occurrences, payments, and audit records. Download it outside browser storage and keep a recent copy somewhere you control.
Restore will validate the file and show record counts before changing anything. It replaces the current notebook; it does not merge notebooks. A safety backup must be available before replacement, and a failed restore must leave the current notebook intact.
CSV exports will give you readable ledger and bill records. A CSV is not a restorable notebook backup. JSON and CSV exports are not encrypted by default; protect files using your device’s security and avoid sharing them casually.
After the completed PWA loads successfully online and confirms offline readiness, its notebook workflow is intended to continue without a connection. First load and app updates require a network connection.
There is no automatic synchronization. A different browser, browser profile, device, or app installation may have separate storage. Use a tested backup and restore workflow when moving a notebook, and verify the restored balance and history before retiring the original.
Browser clearing, eviction, uninstalling, private browsing, or device loss can erase data. Persistent-storage permission is not a guarantee. Keep external backups.
If the balance seems wrong, compare the opening amount, income, expenses, payments, and adjustments. Look for a payment entered twice. Use records and change history to understand the difference before making a correction.
If saving fails in the completed app, a failure state must remain visible. Do not treat unsaved changes as committed. Avoid clearing site data as a troubleshooting step unless you have verified an external backup.

A plain-language view of where your data belongs, and what a hosted website still needs to process.
BilzNote’s proposed web edition is a local-only personal money notebook. This design preview accepts and stores no financial entries. The following describes the approved design for the completed product.
Balances, bills, income, expenses, categories, preferences, and audit history will be stored in the notebook’s local browser database on your device. BilzNote will not send those records to an account service, remote financial database, analytics service, or cloud synchronization system.
There will be no user accounts, bank connection, advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or remote financial telemetry. The marketing website will not read or open the notebook database.
When a website is loaded online, the hosting provider receives technical requests needed to serve its pages and assets. The planned host is Netlify. Its infrastructure may process request information such as IP addresses and device or browser details for delivery and security.
This is separate from the financial records kept on your device. Local-only financial storage does not mean that visiting a hosted website creates no technical logs. Hosting settings, data roles, retention, and applicable notices must be reviewed before publication.
Provider reference: Netlify Privacy Statement. This reference describes Netlify’s policy; it does not establish a completed BilzNote hosting configuration.
A backup or CSV export is a file you choose to save. It is not uploaded by BilzNote. You control its location and any transfer to another device. Files may contain personal financial information and are not encrypted by default.
If you independently save a backup in a third-party cloud drive, that transfer is your choice and is governed by that provider’s terms. It is not BilzNote cloud synchronization.
The planned notebook retains your local records until you change or delete them, restore a replacement notebook, or the browser or device removes the data. Clearing site data, uninstalling, storage eviction, private browsing, or device loss may erase it.
Keep a full downloaded backup outside the browser. BilzNote will have no server copy to recover. Deleting local data does not delete backup files you previously saved elsewhere; manage those files separately.
No support form or collection endpoint is connected in this preview. The operator must provide a verified contact route and describe its handling and retention of support correspondence before public launch.
Do not send full backups, account credentials, or identifiable transaction details when reporting a problem. A future support request should use redacted examples whenever possible.
THE SMALL PRINT / REVIEW DRAFT
Clear expectations for a personal notebook and the records you keep in it.
This draft describes the intended rules for using the BilzNote website and personal money notebook. It does not create a payment plan, subscription, or online account.
BilzNote is intended for personal recordkeeping. Use it lawfully and enter information you are authorized to store. Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access to another person’s device or records.
The notebook relies on your entries and does not retrieve bank records or make payments. You remain responsible for checking your balances, due dates, and actual obligations.
Your financial records remain yours. The application’s local-only design means the operator will not hold a recovery copy. Maintain full backups outside the browser, protect your device, and review restored data before relying on it.
A restore replaces the current notebook and is not a merge or synchronization service. CSV files are reference exports and do not contain a complete restorable notebook.
The website and notebook may change over time. Installation, browser compatibility, storage availability, and offline operation depend on the supported platform and a successful initial online load. No uninterrupted availability or permanent browser storage is promised.
The existing Windows application remains a separate distribution. A web update will not automatically migrate a Windows notebook.
BilzNote’s name, branding, artwork, and software rights remain with their respective rights holders. Any applicable software license accompanying a release governs that release. These draft terms do not grant a license to redistribute the brand or imply endorsement.
BilzNote is not a bank, payment service, or provider of financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Forecasts are estimates based on the records you enter and may omit future activity.
Any final warranty, liability, dispute-resolution, and governing-law clauses must be reviewed for the operator’s jurisdiction. Nothing in the final terms should exclude mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Before launch, the operator must publish an effective date and verified contact route, and define how material changes to these terms will be communicated. No placeholder email address or inactive contact form is provided in this preview.
THE SMALL PRINT / REVIEW DRAFT
What BilzNote is designed to help with, and what remains in your hands.
BilzNote helps you organize your own money records. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it does not act as a bank or payment processor.
For decisions that require professional advice, consult a suitably qualified professional who understands your circumstances.
Balances, bill status, and projections depend on the completeness and accuracy of your manual entries. A forecast is not a guarantee of future funds. It does not include income or expenses you have not recorded or scheduled.
Check figures against your own records. Logging a payment in BilzNote does not actually pay a bill or notify its recipient.
No server backup or cloud recovery is included. Download full backups regularly and keep them somewhere you control. Device loss, storage cleanup, browser data clearing, or uninstalling may erase local data.
Any general limitation in the final release remains subject to rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Final publication requires owner and legal review of this disclaimer and the related Terms and Privacy Policy.
SUPPORT / START HERE
A little help for your daily page. Start with the guides or the common questions below.
Do not erase history to force a balance. Find the cause first, then use a logged correction if needed.
Confirm that you opened the same device, browser profile, and installed app you used before. Notebooks are local and do not automatically sync.
Do not clear browser storage as a first troubleshooting step. If data has already been removed, the planned recovery route is a valid full backup you previously downloaded. There is no remote financial database to restore from.
Install options differ by browser. On iPhone and iPad, use Safari’s Share menu. Compatible desktop and Android browsers may expose an install option in their menus. The design preview itself is not installable.
Read platform instructions ↗For a future bug report, prepare the app version, device and browser, steps to reproduce, and a redacted screenshot. Do not include your full notebook backup, bank credentials, or identifiable transaction history.
RELEASE NOTES
Follow the expansion without losing sight of the original.
9 October 2026 · For design approval
PWA integration, offline behavior, financial storage, portable backups, platform testing, final PDFs, and deployable release packages follow design approval.
The existing approved Windows application provides the foundation: Street Pop styling, a clear notebook layout, persistent save feedback, and direct access to export and backup tools. The web design retains its palette, original artwork, and money rules.
The Windows installer and source remain unchanged. See the desktop release’s own QA report for platform verification and known limitations.
OWNER REVIEW / CP-B
A separate website design, built from the Windows foundation you approved.
This is the initial website visual design requested before PWA integration. Review the brand, page layout, typography, mobile adaptation, tone, and app layout direction.
A dark street-pop hero, expressive type, a readable product story, and a clear route into the notebook.
Cream backgrounds, tabular money treatments, explicit states, and visible save/export placement.
The original Windows wordmark, geometric notebook/cassette pattern, and icon are reused. There are no stock finance illustrations, remote fonts, or third-party scripts.
Heavy display type carries the attitude. Readable system text and clean numeric backgrounds carry the information. On small screens, the navigation collapses to a menu, content stacks, and app layout selection moves to a top row.
There is no financial data entry, database, service worker, installation prompt, or save/export/restore operation in this checkpoint. The app preview starts blank. Home-page illustrative numbers and the existing Windows screenshot are explicitly labeled.
Final illustrated guides and PDFs depend on verified screens from the completed app. The marketing and legal copy will be updated for the real release after implementation.
The 41 existing Windows core tests pass. Preservation hashes cover the approved app source, UI, branding, documentation, and delivered v1.0.1 packages.
Static checks cover routes, local assets, labels, headings, script syntax, and the absence of financial storage or external runtime dependencies. Responsive CSS is included, but browser-rendered screenshots and physical-device testing have not been completed in this checkpoint environment.
No public deployment, paid service, subscription, or payment system is included or authorized.
